I read the book titiled The Magician's Nephew. The main chracters in this book were a boy named Digory, his uncle Andrew, and his friend Polly.

The book began with Digory and Polly climbing through their attic trying to see who moved in the house next door when they san Uncle Andrew. He saw them and told them to sit down. He had made magical rings that if you touch them you would be transported to another world. They didn't know this at the time. Uncle Andrew tricked Polly into touching one of the rings. Polly was sent into another world. Digory had to go after her, so he touched a ring.

They ended up in a place that had lnog line of pools. After a while they figured out that each pool transports you to another world.

They jumped into a pool and were transported to another world. In that world they didn't see anyone. Everything was quiet. Then they came across an old building. They went in and found people, but they weren't moving. Then Digory saw a bell, he rang it. A lady woke up. She was a witch. She wanted to do back with Digory and Polly. That's how the story of Narnia began.
