MOONBOW
The conditions were
right. The atmosphere was clear, constellations and planets
were visible, light wind, perfect moon path, not a cloud in
the sky and the right amount of water going over the Falls
to create the fine rising mist. The moonbow was visible from
dusk to at least midnight. The park closed at midnight this
particular night. The moon was waxing and it's path started
at the south end of the river to northwest between the
mountains south of the Falls, staying low in the sky,
reflecting moonlight down into the valley. Lots of light and
reflections. I guess the best words to use to describe this
Moonbow in Ky, - a beam of bright white light, a white
rainbow and it was photographed 4 days before the full
moon.
