Corbin to Cumberland Falls, Kentucky 

 The start of the trail which is now the intersection of Main Street and Cumberland Falls Highway in Corbin Ky

On September 1, 1907, the first wagon trip from Corbin took place.

The trip took over 16 hours{#1}

This trip to the Falls took eight hours from Corbin in this specially rigged Model T Ford.{#1}

To reach the Falls by automobile from Corbin, Ky., it was necessary to span a deep ravine between connecting ridges. The concrete bridge replaced the original pole structure made by the Corbin Kiwanis Club

The photo above is one of a couple I took on the way home. This was a 5 minute exposure from the Bridge Overlook at around midnight. I was shooting for the other kind of moonbow, but as you can see by the tree's shadow, I was at the wrong angle.
