Our family historian, Betty H., said that our Great Grandfather James{right} helped with the chain that is saving the city under the chained rock, Pineville in Bell County, Kentucky from a huge boulder, 1000 ft. over the city. It's a good 1/2 mile hike from the parking lot to the chain with good trails.
Photos by Woody and Mike Chained Rock is part of Kentucky's 1st State Park, Pine Mountain State Park. It's a good mile hike. Easy getting there, a little rougher coming back. My brothers golf there regularly when they come to town.
